Appen

The benefit of homeschooling three kiddos, is that the younger ones have a tendency to learn things so much quicker – sat watching and joining in with older siblings, they seem to pick things up quickly. Baya loves to do her work {let’s hope that lasts!}, we’ve been focusing on phonics and letter writing the past few months. She’s picking it all up really quickly, but practice is the key. We got sent this new APPen to review recently. It’s a plug in pen, compatible with all android tablets as well as the iPhone/iPad, that has a pressure sensitive tip. You use it as you would a pen, and it comes with a free app that has a good range of colouring/writing/games built in.

It is new, so not all of the functions are live, yet what Baya has used she’s really enjoyed. It’s a fun addition to a tablet for your pre-schoolers, some of it is a little basic, but at only £14.99 it’s pretty good value when compared to the more costly LeapPad or InnoTab.
