I almost can’t believe I’m going to say this, but we were actually happy for a rainy day today! After a few {fabulous} sunny weeks, with most all of our time spent outdoors, waking up to rainy skies was the perfect, much needed excuse to spend a day crafting. Cat Stevens has been on the record player, and we were fueled by some homemade shortbread.

We were sent this Shamballa Fire Jewellery Kit that we’ve been waiting to try out. It came with enough pieces to make up to five items of jewellery – earrings, bracelets and necklaces. It’s recommended for ages 8 plus… but my kiddos never pay attention to ages, and if one is doing something, everyone else wants to do it too.

Lola opted to make some earrings, as she’s the only one with pierced ears. Baya made a necklace, and Kiki picked a bracelet. The kit comes with really clear instructions, guiding you step by step on the macrame knots needed to make the bracelets. These were too difficult for my younger two, but Lola {10} managed just fine.

I think everyone was happy with the finished results, and enjoyed making the jewellery – it was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon!

We received the shamballa fire jewellery kit for free, but the opinions are all our own :)
