Sunny Days >>>
Oh it’s so good to have some sunny days! It’s beautiful here right now and we’re enjoying every single second of it. The doors and windows are wide open and the last traces of winter are being blown out of our house. Getting up in a morning is so much easier when the sun is shining and the sky is blue. We’ve been babysitting my friends little girl this morning, we took a walk to the park first thing, then the girls have been happy playing in the garden.
We had a chicken escapee earlier… Belinda somehow got over a fence and was walking along a wall that’s 4ft off the ground… Mama had to do a little climbing and chicken rescuing! Then we found another nest hidden in a bush, complete with 40 eggs… these chooks are crazy! We’re thinking of adding a couple of ducks into the mix soon!
The best thing of this sunshine is my lawn is finally starting to grow… never have I been so excited to see grass growing ;)

May 2, 2013 at 23:42We’ve been doing a lot of park days too. It looks lovely where you’re at as well! I love that your chicken’s name is “Belinda.” ;) I agree…it’s so much easier to get up in the morning when the day ahead is sunny!

I just found your blog and loving it. It’s good to learn that you are homeschooling your girls. I’m having that idea too and wonder if I could start that with my son. I guess, I just need to do the paperwork. Afterall, I’ve been teaching myself for the past years.
