List 25: Ways to Pick Yourself Up

  • Don’t only see the negatives when you look in the mirror.
  • Do things you like and surround yourself with people you love.
  • Try something new.
  • Take a trip to the bookshop, look at the self-help section and pick one that appeals to you.
  •   Start a gratitude journal. Write in it every day, and include beautiful images, inspirational quotes and ideas.
  • Talk to someone about how you feel.
  •  Be your own rock. Don’t cling to someone else.
  • Be brave.
  • Be positive. Dont’ be the person who’s always complaining.

    I so agree with all of these! But mostly I can relate to this “Do things you like and surround yourself with people you love.” For a long time I tried to fit in a crowd that wasn’t for me at all – only after I’ve realised it, I’ve been able to reach happiness. It was such a relief!
